Thomahof in Hinterzarten

We stayed for 3 nights at the Thomahof and had 3 relaxing and wonderful days with a very good breakfast buffet and a delicious dinner menu. Breakfast is partly served at the table (coffee and bread or rolls) and due to Covid 19, the dishes at the buffet are filled in small glasses. We liked it and also tasted very good. The egg dishes were freshly prepared. In the afternoon there are really first-class pies and fruit cakes in all varieties. The restaurant area is very cozy and we had a wonderful place to sit. Our suite was very spacious and cozy. There was a lot of storage space and a great view from the balcony of the forest. Everything was really well-kept and clean. We were served very friendly and Mrs. Thoma was very warm and helpful. Incidentally, the construction site was not heard at all and therefore not disturbed. We would love to come back anytime.

Very enjoyable place. We had a great vacation. The staff is attentive, the rooms spotlessly clean and the food fantastic We'll definitely be back sometime.

Went for a week in August. Very disappointed by the machines for the new swimming pool that were supposed not to work at that time. The noise was irritating. Our room was in a corner that never saw the sun. The worst for us was the promises on the website about the dessert buffet, the champagne, the salad buffet... None of these happened, although clearly written in the website that they could have updated. We did not receive the service we booked!!

The hotel is building a swimming pool. I am an example to this my hand. But the neighborhood is great, I recommend it.

Top food and service! Really recommendable food at the Hotel Tomahof. We were rarely welcomed in such a friendly and courteous way in a restaurant on our trip in the Black Forest. Unfortunately, no room in the hotel was available for our travel dates.

Great hotel with an authentic restaurant. The rooms were large, nicely located and, above all, very clean. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with its small niches. The evening menu was well coordinated, but it can be a bit better, unfortunately a bit too bland for my taste. The breakfast was unfortunately a bit disappointing, which is certainly due to the current situation (Corona). Unfortunately, the massage was more than deceptive, the spa area, however, is nice, if a bit older.

Beautiful and quiet hotel, very clean. The restaurant is a recommendation! Even in difficult times (Corona) you feel well received here, the measures are implemented here in an exemplary manner. The food is very good. The location of the hotel was great. We booked and we were assured of a construction stop for the swimming pool as well as on the website! Until August 9th everything was fine on August 10th the machines arrived ... unbearable !!!! A deep regret came from the management. We could only pack our suitcases .... 560 km back to Münster there was no free hotel. If I, as the client, impose a construction freeze, that's the way it is !!!!!

The Hotel is really clean. The food is excellent. We were always served very friendly. I was even served a glass of champagne for my birthday. They had overlooked my husband's birthday, also during our stay. The wellness landscape is very nicely done. A big plus is that dogs are allowed, which is often not the case in wellness hotels. I can recommend the Hotel Thomahof.

The hotel was very nice and quiet. The familiar atmosphere stood out, as was the helpfulness of the Thoma family and all of the employees. The beginnings of the hiking trails behind the hotel are just fantastic, like the whole of the Black Forest. The room was very clean and the breakfast was extensive, tasty and, despite Corona, well organized. Big compliments for that. The hotel can only be recommended. We decorated a very nice hotel complex in a black forest manor house. The restaurant is reasonably priced. The conditions are very friendly. It's worth a visit.

We decided for a spontaneous short vacation (2 nights) in the Thomahof. We were greeted very nicely. Then got a room upgrade, at no extra charge. Wonderfully quiet location and great view of the forest. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Booked half board and didn't regret it. This cook is a stunner. The food tastes delicious and is very tastefully arranged and served. Since the hotel also has to deal with corona requirements, the wellness area is unfortunately still closed. But we would like to be a guest in this nice house again. Thank you very much for everything.
